UFC Halifax Results: Gerald Meerschaert submits Ryan Janes (VIDEO)

A middleweight bout between Ryan Janes and Gerald Meerschaert kicked off tonight’s UFC Fight Night 105 event in Halifax, Canada.

Round one begins and Meerschaert starts things off with a body kick. Janes pushes forward with a flurry of punches, some that connect. He pushes Gerald against the fence and scores an early takedown. Janes is on top and in full guard. He quickly passes to half guard. Meerschaert gets back to full guard and attempts an armbar. It is not there. Janes with a good shot from the top. Meerschaert grabs a hold of Janes’ arm and locks in an armbar submission. This one is over as Janes is forced to tapout.
