DREAM officials have added a lightweight bout to the upcoming DREAM 17 event set for September 24.
A non-title fight between DREAM lightweight champion Shinya Aoki and former WEC champ, Rob McCullough has been agreed up and expected to grace the main card of the evening.
DREAM 17 takes place from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on September 24.
Two new bouts are official for September’s DREAM.17 event.
Aoki will look for his sixth consecutive win since losing to Strikeforce champion, Gilbert Melendez. The proposed match will be his fifth fight without putting up his title for grabs.
McCullough is coming off of a 2011 Bellator loss to Patrick Freire. The one-time WEC champion has gone 4-4 since winning the WEC strap including two Tachi palace wins in 2010.

He’ll win via neck crank again.
