A welterweight bout has been added to the growing UFC 138 card set for November and it will be Che Mills vs. Chris Cope.
“UFC 138: Munoz vs. Leben” goes down at the LG Arena at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham England. The Spike TV card will feature a main event between middleweights, Mark Munoz and Chris Leben in the UFC’s first ever 5-round non-title fight.
Che Mills is a highly touted prospect who will be making his UFC debut in front of a hometown crowd. Prior to booking the UFC 138 gig he was in talks to face Joey Villasenor at BAMMA 7, but his camp has since confirmed that no bout agreement was ever signed. He holds a 13-4 pro MMA record and brings in a 4-fight win streak to the Octagon.
Welcoming the newcomer is one-time UFC fighter and Ultimate Fighter season 13 Alum, Chris Cope. Cope was last seen in action at the TUF season 13 finale in a win over fellow housemate Chuck O’Neil. The win gave him his second consecutive victory, the first of which was at “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum” over Ron Keslar.
