“I haven’t been told that [with a win over Henderson comes a title shot] explicitly. In this business, you never know what’s going to happen… In my opinion, you have to look at every fight as the most important fight of your career. I have lots of wins, but if I had lost one of those, I wouldn’t be in the situation I am right now. So my main focus is just on the 14th and Ben. It’s a tough fight, and that’s where my eyes are locked… I’m a person that wants a challenge. I want the tough road. I want to fight all the best guys, and if I feel like I can be the UFC champ, then whoever they’re going to stick in my way on my way up to that point I should be able to beat. .. I’ll just keep fighting. If they throw me in there against somebody else, then so be it.”
UFC lightweight contender, Jim Miller, talked to the media on the UFC on Versus 5 conference call about his upcoming co-main event showdown with former WEC champ, Ben Henderson and his goal to gain a UFC title.
With a 9-1 UFC record and currently riding a 7-fight UFC win streak, the grinding New Jersey fighter has been building a case for his own bout with contendership the hard way, and that seems to be OK with him.
Should a win over Henderson catapult him to the top of the UFC’s lightweight contender list or does his lone UFC loss to Gray Maynard tarnish his reputation as a legit threat to the crown?

let’s do this
