Former UFC middleweight fighter and new DREAM signee, Gerald Harris, has booked his first opponent with the Japanese based MMA promotion in the form of long time Japan MMA scene veteran Kazuhiro Nakamura.
The middleweight bout will take place during Septembers DREAM 17 event.
DREAM 17 is set for September 24 and will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
After being released by the UFC for his UFC 123 performance against Maiquel Falcao, Harris went on to drop another fight in the regional circuit to James Head. However, the “Ultimate Fighter” alum quickly returned to his winning ways this past May with a win over Anthony Ruiz under the Tachi Palace promotion to earn himself a DREAM contract.
Nakamura is a long-time MMA stand-out who has competed for the UFC, PRIDE, Sengoku and DREAM. While he has received mixed results in the past few years, he is currently enjoying the fruits of his labor and brings in a two-fight win streak into the DREAM 17 match with Harris.
