
Strikeforce lightweight fighter, Pat Healy, has agreed to step in for the injured Josh Thomson against the highly touted Maximo Blanco at next week’s “Strikeforce Grand Prix” event.
“Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov” will crown the Grand Prix’s finalist live from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 10.
Healy last saw action during the Strikeforce Challengers 18 event with a decision victory over Eric Wisely. The win marked his fifth in six fights with his only defeat coming way of the man he is replacing, Josh Thomson.
