It’s the ambition of all fighters to leave the sport while on top; however several rarely get that opportunity. In his latest interview with FightersOnlyMagazine, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson goes over his desire to retire with the UFC’s light-heavyweight title in hand.
He had his chance, but Jon Jones got the better of him. He now has a very stern test in the form of Ryan Bader at UFC 144, a loss would be detrimental to the former champion, but a win, a win keeps a top the ladder.
I guess this poses the question as to whether or not he will ever be able to regain the title he lost at the hands of Forrest Griffin a few years back and if he does, will he really be able to bow out of the fight game for good?

This just basically says that if Rampage loses in Japan then he will be done, and there are very good odds that even if he doesn’t win he will retire after the Japan fight. Talk like this shows he is not in the game and if he is not in the game he needs to retire, I respect him and wish him the best but I don’t want to see him in the cage if his heart is not in it, all that means is he will stand a better chance of taking a beating he doesn’t need.
Hate to say it, because Im a huge Rampage fan, but I highly doubt he’ll ever hold the UFC Light heavyweight belt ever again. Hes one of the best in the world, and probably will be, til he retires, but Jon Jones and Rashad Evans have both beaten him, and those are the 2 best in the world, and as long as those two are around, its very unlikely that Rampage will win the belt. But he will always be remembered as one of the greatest of his time
I think Jon Jones is going to be the new Anderson Silva of the 205 division. I hope he fights for a long time i couldn’t imagine the UFC without that howl and chains besides whose going to make fun of everyone as well as he does?
i say hes going to be a heavy weight version of anderson silva. its not where but up from here. alistair overeem started out as a jon jones type body frame. look at him now .
Yeah he’s young, very young for mma and most fighters move up and down weight class. He’s a big light heavyweight, I can definitely see him going into heavyweight.
