VanZant left the UFC last year to sign a big-money, free-agent contract with BKFC. Next weekend, VanZant makes her bare-knuckle boxing debut against Britain Hart on February 5 during the Super Bowl weekend card. VanZant’s decision to move from MMA to BKFC, where the likelihood of her face getting cut is very high, has led to criticism from fans online, many of who believe she is making the wrong call. Her critics believe that VanZant will get cut open in BKFC which could harm her earning as an Instagram model. To those haters, VanZant has two words for them: grow up.

UFC strawweight contender Amanda Ribas believes her former opponent, Paige VanZant, will do well as a bare-knuckle fighter in BKFC. Ribas and VanZant fought in the Octagon in July, 2020, with the former winning by submission. The fight marked the final obligation on VanZant’s UFC contract. After a period of free agency, she signed with BKFC, and is slated to debut against Britain Hart on February 5.

Bec Rawlings says she would “love” to fight former UFC rival Paige VanZant again, admitting she believes PVZ will “take a beating” in BKFC. Rawlings and VanZant first met back in August 2016 at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Condit in Vancouver, Canada. In that fight, VanZant landed a brutal switch kick right on that button that knocked Rawlings out. Rawlings ended up fighting three more times in the UFC and lost those fights before being cut. Rawlings has since fought for Bellator, where she has gone 1-1, and for BKFC, where she is a perfect 3-0. BKFC, of course, is the new home of her rival VanZant, and Rawlings isn’t liking her chances in bare-knuckle fighting.

Ricchi defeated Cutter by third-round TKO at BKFC 14, but absorbed a damaging punch to the trachea during the fight. After his victory, he was taken to the hospital for an exam, where a surgery reportedly caused complications that led to him being put in a medically induced coma.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship fighter Uly Diaz scored an incredible three-second KO over Donelei Benedetto at BKFC 14 on Saturday night. Diaz is a 39-year-old Cuban boxer who has racked up a 12-1 record in boxing with 11 knockouts, plus a 1-0 record in MMA and a 2-0 record in bare-knuckle boxing. The Miami native made it 2-0 in BKFC 14 on Saturday when he scored an incredible KO that set the record for the fastest knockout in the history of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

BKFC 14 will be topped by a 155-pound title fight between champion Luis Palomino and top contender Jim Alers. The pair were originally expected to meet for the vacant lightweight title in July, but Alers was forced out of the matchup when members of his camp were exposed to COVID-19. He was then replaced by fellow UFC veteran Isaac Vallie-Flagg, who Palomino defeated by first-round stoppage to claim the vacant belt.
