Pros react to Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and GGG announcement
Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr squared off last night in a grudge match to prove who is the current pride of Mexican boxing.
Canelo Alvarez was able to put on a boxing clinic, schooling Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. with an emphatic performance on route to a unanimous decision victory.
All three judges scored the bout 120-108 in favor of Alvarez.
Canelo was never in any real danger during the course of the fight and seemed to have fun while toying with his opponent Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Following his dominant victory, Alvarez announced that he would be fighting Gennady Golovkin on September 16 for the middleweight championship of the world in Las Vegas.
Here is how the pros reacted to the Alvarez vs. Chavez Jr result and the news that Canelo will now be fighting “GGG” in September.
