Eddie Hearn is not a big fan of the UFC — or MMA as a whole — in 2025. Hearn, who is one of the top promoters in boxing, got to talking about MMA during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show. While he admitted that the UFC is solid as a brand, he has clearly soured on the promotion’s product of late.

Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn isn’t afraid of Dana White or Turki Alalshikh. Earlier this week, the UFC CEO and Saudi Arabian promoter announced plans to form a new boxing league. While a lot is still unknown about the new promotion, they’re expected to start holding events as soon as September. Furthermore, Dana White has stated that they plan to sign every big-name fighter they can.

Usyk scored a split decision win in his first meeting with “The Gypsy King.” The rematch was also competitive and went the distance, and this time Usyk took the unanimous decision victory.

The bout was originally slated to go down on July 20th but was postponed due to Mike Tyson suffering from health issues. As a result, Jake Paul handed short-notice replacement Mike Perry a sixth-round knockout loss earlier this summer.
