UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping recently shed a bit of light on the ever-confusing reports regarding a potential Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather boxing superfight following a statement from UFC President Dana White that revealed a fight between Mayweather and McGregor is far from being finalized. That followed a statement from Floyd Mayweather in which, he stated that if McGregor truly wants to fight, he should sign the papers:

With news surfacing earlier this year from the NSAC that both parties have been making progress in negotiations, many believed a fight was all, but official. Mayweather and UFC President Dana White both then revealed that the fight was not close to being finalized. Mayweather released a statement in which he stated that he was truly retired and would keep fans updated if the status of his retirement changed.

Unfortunate news surfaced this week that undefeated prizefighter Floyd Mayweather’s house was targeted in Las Vegas while the iconic boxer was off in California celebrating his 40th birthday. According to TMZ, the burglars escaped with quite a few expensive purses and an expensive watch which totaled around $150,000. Unfortunately, details at the present time are rather scarce and there has been no word on whether or not any arrests have been made in connection to the robbery.

Throughout the course of 2017, conflicting reports have continued to emerge that UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has reached a deal for a Floyd Mayweather superfight in the boxing ring. To kick off the year, Mayweather offered McGregor $15 million for a boxing match, which resulted in UFC President Dana White firing back with a counteroffer, stating that he would be willing to give Mayweather $25 million for a boxing match. Mayweather of course laughed at White’s offer, and called the UFC President a comedian. This was following by a pay-per view interview from McGregor, where the lightweight champ stated that he and Mayweather needed to sit down in a room and negotiate terms for a fight. Just weeks following McGregor’s interview, reports surfaced that Mayweather and McGregor had reportedly reached a deal.

At the time, it was explained that McGregor’s lack of professional boxing experience was the reason he had been denied a license in Nevada. Despite that, talks of a potential Floyd Mayweather superfight continued to develop, with conflicting reports emerging this week that McGregor and Mayweather were getting close to reaching a deal for a boxing superfight.
