Jake Paul explains why he “feels bad” for former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland: “I see a very insecure, lost, wannabe, like alpha male”

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has explained why he feels bad for former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland.

Sean Strickland and Jake Paul

In recent weeks, a small feud has developed between Jake Paul and Sean Strickland. The boxer and UFC fighter have spoken about a possible showdown, but up to this point, nothing has been set in stone.

In his next outing, Jake Paul will battle Ryan Bourland as he continues his pursuit of a world title. As for Strickland, he’ll likely be back in the cage sooner rather than later after losing his UFC middleweight title to Dricus du Plessis earlier this year.

In a recent podcast appearance, ‘The Problem Child’ gave his thoughts on Sean.

Paul worries for Strickland

“Man, the guy seems to be having some sort of quarter-life crisis.

“It’s a typical story of these UFC guys who call me out, and then go quiet. I’ve got DMs, I’ll put them up on the screen. I said let me know where, we could spar for a million dollars. Then, all of a sudden, it was ‘oh I’d get sued by the UFC if I sparred Jake’. But you just sparred Sneako? You could spar anyone. Contractually, in your UFC contract, it says nothing about sparring.”

“I disagree with Dana a lot on many, many things, but we also agree on a lot of things. Even Dana himself said you can’t put Sean Strickland around any human being. I feel bad for the guy. I see a very insecure, lost, wannabe, like alpha male, that’s hiding behind the tough man complex. He needs a hug.”
