Boxing personality Jake Paul has chimed in on the Bellator-PFL merger, which was announced Monday morning by PFL chairman Donn Davis. The two promotions will begin their partnership in 2024. Jake Paul, who boxes Andre August December 15, said he’s excited for the future of MMA and said the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

Next month, Jake Paul will make his return to the squared circle when he battles Andre August in Orlando, Florida. He will attempt to build off of his victory over Nate Diaz, with ‘The Problem Child’ using this fight as an opportunity to finally take on a pro boxer. While there’s some real intent behind this matchup, many are still criticizing Paul by suggesting that August isn’t a big enough step up in competition.

The only problem, of course, is that Jones is signed to UFC, and Ngannou is signed to PFL. Many have suggested that the two promotions could work together on the bout and put on a monstrous co-promotion.

In the eyes of Fury, and many others, that now makes him the king of crossover boxing.

That DAZN headliner was the first of Nate Diaz’s career, as he faced YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ was coming off a loss to Tommy Fury in February, and was looking to get back on the right track.

The American YouTuber, Jake Paul, and MMA Legend, Nate Diaz got in the ring at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on August 5th of this year. The outcome was a unanimous decision win (98-91, 98-91, and 97-92) for the 26 year old Paul.

Earlier this week, the latter took to social media to call for a rematch, much to the dismay of Michael Bisping.

It was a lackluster fight, and after it, Paul claimed he wanted to rematch Diaz in MMA in the PFL. However, Diaz was adamant he wanted it to be in boxing, despite the first fight being lopsided.

The expectation is that Paul will be able to get the better of the former Bellator star, but either way, the big talk has been surrounding the build-up.

There, Canelo Alvarez turned in a vintage performance, dominating ‘Iron Man’ with ease. He earned a unanimous decision victory to retain his super-middleweight gold, and quickly earned a callout from Jake Paul.

Derek Brunson is turning his attention to Jake Paul following his UFC release. Brunson (23-9 MMA), parted ways with the UFC following an 11 year run with the promotion. During that tenure, the 39 year old beat the likes of Kevin Holland, Darren Till, and Uriah Hall to name a few.
