As the combat sports world drools over this prospective battle, Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao has suggested that, if Mayweather doesn’t end up fighting McGregor, he’d be happy to welcome the Irishman to the ring.

McGregor has also been challenged by boxers like Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Amir Khan, and Paul Malignaggi.

News surfaced Friday morning that famed boxer Manny Paquiao has reportedly been booked to fight the one and only Adrien Broner. While Pacquiao has stated that he is retired, Golden Boy Promotions VP Eric Gomez wanted to work out a deal to bring Pacquiao out of retirement to fight Canelo Alvarez. When Gomez tried to set the fight up, he learned an interesting bit of information, Pacquiao is already fighting Adrien Broner. Gomez spoke to Boxing Scene about the situation:

This past weekend Manny Pacquiao stepped into the boxing ring for the final time as he faced Timothy Bradley in a trilogy fight. Pacquiao ultimately won the fight via unanimous decision, knocking Bradley down two times during the course of the fight.
