Boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez filed a lawsuit against streaming service DAZN, and Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions. The lawsuit, launched in a Los Angeles Federal Court, alleges Canelo’s multi-fight deal with DAZN was breached to the tune of $280 million in damages, according to court docs obtained by Mike Coppinger of The Athletic.

De La Hoya recently said he would be open to a two-round boxing match against UFC superstar Conor McGregor, and White was not happy about those comments. Although De La Hoya recently commended the UFC bossman for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, he didn’t like the remarks White made about him following the callout of McGregor.

Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya is being sued for an alleged sexual assault & battery incident. TMZ Sports is reporting that a woman is filing the lawsuit under the alias of “Jane Doe” in order to protect her identity, with the timeline dating back to 2016 when she first met the former boxing champion. The incident in question, however, occurred in November 2017 when she was invited to De La Hoya’s then-new home in Pasadena, California.

In the weeks leading up to this MMA card, which was headlined by a trilogy fight between UFC Hall of Famers Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, there was plenty of reason to believe it was a one-off for De La Hoya. Yet according to Fernie Garcia, who fought on the undercard of the event, this is not the case. “I have heard that they are [going to do more MMA],” Garcia told BJPENN.com of Golden Boy MMA. “I have heard that the plan was for two events. So they are going to have two events. From what I know, they are going to have another event for sure.”
