UFC bantamweight titleholder Sean O’Malley has weighed in on boxing star Ryan Garcia’s latest hiccup outside of the ring. Beverly Hills police arrested Garcia for felony vandalism on Saturday at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. He allegedly damaged numerous areas of the hotel, including his room and a nearby hallway.

Women’s boxing star Savannah Marshall wants a rematch with Claressa Shields inside the PFL cage. ‘The Silent Assassin’ officially made the move to MMA over the weekend. Headlining PFL Europe 2, Savannah Marshall stepped into the cage for the first time opposite Mirela Vargas. In attendance was the British boxer’s longtime rival, Claressa Shields. Like Marshall, the ‘GWOAT’ is now fighting in MMA under the PFL banner.

Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Dominick Reyes seized the opportunity to snap his previous losing skid in Muhammad Ali’s home city. Reyes defeated Dustin Jacoby in the UFC Louisville co-main event on Saturday. The first-round knockout over Jacoby was his first MMA victory since knocking out former UFC middleweight champ Chris Weidman in Oct. 2019.

Diaz and Masvidal are scheduled to meet in the boxing ring on July 6, almost five years since their UFC 244 BMF clash. Masvidal defeated Diaz by TKO (doctor’s stoppage) to win the inaugural BMF belt.

Deontay Wilder’s mother wants the boxing legend to retire following yet another defeat. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ returned to the boxing ring in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night. For Deontay Wilder, the bout was his first since a lopsided unanimous decision loss to Joseph Parker in December. That defeat prevented the former heavyweight champion from facing longtime rival Anthony Joshua in March.

The boxing match was a historic one, as it was set to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis. With ‘The Lion’ in attendance, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury went to war for 12 straight rounds. Ultimately, it was the Ukrainian who emerged with a split-decision victory.
