UFC superstar Conor McGregor reacted following the split decision verdict in the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley boxing match on Sunday night. Paul defeated Woodley via split decision in a closely fought fight between the former YouTuber and the former UFC welterweight champion. It was a competitive match for the eight rounds that it went, but ultimately Paul did a little bit more and won the decision. Now that Paul got his hand raised and has a big name like Woodley on his resume, it just might give him the ammunition he needs to attract even bigger names in the fight game going forward. And there is arguably not a bigger name in combat sports than McGregor.

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley issued a statement following his split decision loss to Jake Paul, saying to “run it back!” Woodley and Paul fought for eight rounds in the main event of the Showtime boxing PPV card on Sunday night in Cleveland, Ohio. It was a close, competitive fight, but at the end of the eight rounds, the judges reached a split verdict and gave the decision win to Paul. Woodley, however, is adamant that he won the fight and he told Paul in the ring following the decision that he wants to have a rematch against him. Taking to his social media following the fight, Woodley once again called for a rematch against Paul, while asking why there was no drug testing and suggesting it was sketchy fighting in Paul’s native Cleveland.

Paul’s brother Jake fights Woodley tonight in a huge boxing match between the former Disney star and the former UFC welterweight champion. Like all of Jake’s fights, Logan will be in the first row in attendance of this Sunday’s big fight. Paul, who fought legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather to a draw in an exhibition match back in June, will be in Cleveland, Ohio this weekend to support his brother Jake Paul, who takes on former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Ahead of the fight between the YouTuber and the former UFC champ, Paul went on his “Impaulsive” podcast recently and told a story about another fight that nearly broke out between two UFC stars in McGregor and Nurmagomedov. According to Paul, it was a situation where he tried to book a table for his chef Eric, who has a connection to McGregor as he was cooking for him in his camp. Apparently, Nurmagomedov was also at the same restaurant and nearly ran into McGregor.

However, things got personal when a member of Paul’s camp made a comment about Woodley’s mom, who is often in the front row for his fights. After Team Jake Paul made the comment, Woodley’s sister got into it with a member of Team Paul, which led to a heated argument between both camps.
