YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul trolled legendary boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather during his recent Clubhouse interview. Jake’s brother Logan Paul takes on Mayweather next month in an exhibition boxing match. Ahead of the big fight, Mayweather has been doing the rounds with his interviews to promote the fight, and this week he did one on the Clubhouse app. Paul found out that Mayweather was going to be on the hat and he decided to troll “Money” about it, bringing up the “gotcha hat” incident that recently took place at the pre-fight press conference.

UFC legend Georges St-Pierre shared his thoughts on Logan and Jake Paul, saying that “I’m not one of the haters, they’re great athletes.” GSP, one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, recently sat down with MMA.joe and was asked about the Paul brothers, Logan and Jake. While so many people in the combat sports industry are down on the Paul brothers as they feel they haven’t put in the work yet, GSP isn’t a “hater.” Instead, GSP praised them for being great athletes, even though he’s still not convinced they can become elite MMA fighters or boxers.

Unfortunately for St-Pierre, the UFC has put an end to any of those hopes of making the match happen – at least for the time being. The former UFC dual-division champion in Cormier ultimately views that as a good thing as he believes the risk outweighs the reward when it comes to the Canadian icon’s legacy.

Heavyweight boxing star Tyson Fury trashed Deontay Wilder ahead of his trilogy fight, calling him an “idiot” and a “glutton for punishment.” Fury was widely expected to fight Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight boxing unification bout this summer in Saudi Arabia, but a court arbitrator ruled that Fury has to fight Wilder next as contractually obliged. The two have previously fought twice, the first time fighting to a split draw and then Fury taking the rematch via TKO last year. The two will now meet on July 24th in Las Vegas in what will be one of the biggest boxing matches of the summer.

Former UFC welterweight Dan Hardy says that he was “disappointed” to learn the UFC blocked Georges St-Pierre from boxing Oscar de la Hoya. We found out last week that UFC president Dana White shut down GSP vs. de la Hoya after not taking phone calls from Triller executive Ryan Kavanaugh. GSP himself confirmed that the fight was blocked and that he was upset because he wanted to have a fun fight with one of his idols in de la Hoya and then give most of the money to charity. But White refused to let St-Pierre out of his UFC contract to join the Triller Fight Club promotion.

Jake Paul is leaving Triller Fight Club and has signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime Boxing. Paul, the brash YouTuber turned boxer, had his past two fights under the Triller banner but was vocal about the fight he was doing one-fight deals and was a free agent. Now, however, according to ESPN, Paul has agreed to a multi-fight deal with Showtime Boxing.

Former UFC champion Vitor Belfort says he’s moving to boxing, and he challenged Oscar de la Hoya and Anderson Silva to future boxing matches. Belfort left the UFC in 2018 after getting knocked out by Lyoto Machida in his final fight in the Octagon but he was expected to fight in ONE Championship after that. However, for whatever reason Belfort never made his debut for ONE even though he was connected to several fights in the promotion. Now, we finally have an update on his ONE contract.

Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on August 14 is in jeopardy of not happening. On Sunday, Fury said his heavyweight unification fight was 100 percent official for August 14 in Saudi Arabia. However, on Monday, an arbitrator ruled Fury must face Deontay Wilder in a rematch by Sept. 15, ESPN learned.

Dana White and the UFC prevented a boxing match between Georges St-Pierre and Oscar De La Hoya from coming to fruition according to Triller boss Ryan Kavanaugh. St-Pierre (26-2 MMA) had retired from mixed martial arts shortly after dethroning Michael Bisping for the promotions middleweight title in November of 2017. Despite having not competed in over three and half years, ‘GSP’ still needs permission from the UFC to fight with other promotions.
