In his most recent effort at December’s UFC 256 event, ‘El Cucuy’ suffered a lopsided unanimous decision loss to surging lightweight contender Charles Oliveira.

It’s a very intriguing matchup and one that has caught the attention of the combat sports world. Although the fight has been announced for a few weeks now, the location was still uncertain, but it has now been reported it will take place in Atlanta.

Former UFC fighter Markus Perez detailed a recent sparring session he had with Jake Paul ahead of his upcoming boxing match with Ben Asken. Perez was recently among the latest round of UFC roster cuts. Following his recent loss to Dalcha Lungiambula on Fight Island in January, Perez asked the UFC matchmakers to cut him and let him go back down to the minor leagues to work on his game. With a 2-5 record in the UFC and a three-fight losing skid to end his run in the Octagon, the matchmakers decided to release “Maluko” from the roster. But while he might not be on the UFC roster anymore, Perez has already landed a gig as a sparring partner for Paul. Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has sent a birthday message to one of his chief rivals, undefeated boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr. McGregor and Mayweather met in the boxing ring in 2017 in a massive crossover spectacle. McGregor, who was making his pro boxing debut, performed surprisingly well in the fight’s early rounds, but was ultimately stopped by a volley of 10th-round punches.

MMA fighter Raush Manfio says Ben Askren has “no chance” in his upcoming boxing match with YouTube celebrity Jake Paul. Paul and Askren are slated to collide in an eight-round pro boxing match on April 17. Ahead of the fight, Paul enlisted the help of Manfio to help him prepare for Askren, who went 1-2 in the UFC and is the former ONE and Bellator welterweight champion.

Former MLB star Jose Canseco has broken his silence after a quick, stoppage loss in a boxing match with Barstool Sports intern Billy Football. Canseco met Billy at Barstool’s Rough N’ Rowdy card on February 5. Early in the first round, the six-time MLB all-star was hit with a few shots, and dropped to the ground clutching his shoulder in pain. When he couldn’t return to his feet, the bout was waved off.

UFC lightweight Bobby Green collapsed backstage before his UFC 258 fight with Jim Miller, putting the bout in jeopardy of going on. UFC president Dana White told reporters following the UFC 258 weigh-ins that Green collapsed after he successfully weighed in at 156lbs for his fight with Miller. Leben (22-12 MMA, 3-1 BK) returned to action at Friday’s BKFC KnuckleMania event for a highly anticipated showdown with Quentin Henry. Prior to the contest, ‘The Crippler’ had announced that his bout with ‘The Hero’ would be the final fight of his combat sports career.

Perry (14-7 MMA) has not competed since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Tim Means at November’s UFC 255 event. The loss marked Perry’s third setback in his past four Octagon appearances.

In the main event of Rough N’ Rowdy 13, the former MLB star fought Barstool Sports intern, Billy Football. In the lead-up to the bout, Jose Canseco made it clear he was too powerful and would knock out the intern in the first-round. The intern, on the other hand, claimed he would shock the world so fans were anticipating a very entertaining bout, but it was far from that.

Billy Football first had a feud with Canseco after the former MLB star trashed Alex Rodriguez on a Barstool podcast. The fight then got made on less than a month’s notice to headline Rough N’ Rowdy 13.
