Paige VanZant announces boxing match expected for this summer: “F*ck it, let’s go”
Paige VanZant is back in the fighting world, but it’s not in BKFC.
‘12 Gauge’ has had a strange last few years. Following a loss to Amanda Ribas in July 2020, Paige VanZant decided to part ways with the UFC. Despite offers from Bellator and other companies, she instead opted to sign with the David Feldman-led BKFC organization.
However, Paige VanZant has struggled under the bare-knuckle ruleset. In February 2021, she suffered a unanimous decision loss to Britain Hart. Later that July, she lost a rematch of sorts to Rachel Ostovich by decision. Two years prior, VanZant submitted the Hawaiian in the octagon.
Since that defeat in the summer of 2021, Paige VanZant has been busy creating content on OnlyFans. Posting on the popular subscription-based website saw the former UFC fighter make more money on the platform than in her entire fighting career. With that in mind, VanZant wasn’t quick to rush back to competition.
However, Paige VanZant will be returning to fighting this summer. In a recent edition of her podcast, the BFKC fighter revealed that she accepted a deal to fight in the boxing ring this summer. While she couldn’t reveal the date or the opponent, VanZant appears to be excited for the opportunity.

BKFC’s Paige VanZant announces boxing match slated for this summer
“I got called by my manager day before yesterday, and I got offered a fight,” Paige VanZant stated on her podcast earlier this week. “A boxing match, and I took it. I don’t know if I can give all the details, I haven’t signed a contract yet. I accepted the fight. It was initially, the date they offered me was March 23, which was perfect. Hell yeah, I’ll get one more fight in before I turn 30, because I turn 30 [on] March 26. So I told my manager f*ck yeah, I’ll take it. I’ll get back into boxing.” (h/t MMA Fighting)
She continued, “I was just really excited. The opportunity was really cool. So it was perfect, an eight-week camp, I don’t that long to stress or overthink, or anything like that, so that’s perfect. It turns out it’s not going to be March 23. After I accepted it, they’re like, you know what, we’re going to move it to [May or June]. I heard both dates, so once I have the full information, we’ll be able to release it on the podcast. Accepted a boxing match, that will be my next fight. It’s really, really exciting.”
“Gloves on, it’s just straight boxing,” Paige VanZant concluded. “I did think my next fight would be a bare-knuckle boxing match, but this opportunity came forward, and I was just like f*ck it, let’s go. So I took a fight.”
