Roy Jones Jr. knows a thing or two about boxing.

The former multiple time world champion that has secured titles in mutiple weight divisons was asked what Conor McGregor needs to do in preparation for a rematch with Nate Diaz as Diaz was able to hit McGregor with some stiff shots that led him to taking the fight to the ground.

“Be smart, Jones said. “Find a good guy, as far as boxing goes, that can teach you how to deal with a boxer, and come back at it.”

McGregor has been getting in some sparring with former IBF and IBO champion boxer Chris van Heerden recently.

While Roy Jones Jr. doesn’t pick a side to the unscheduled rematch between McGregor and Diaz, he says he is looking forward to it.

“I think it’s a great rematch, I can’t wait to see it and I look forward to seeing the outcome of that rematch.”
