Ryan Garcia slams Floyd Mayweather for lying about fight offers: “I know you like to beat on ‘pretty girls’ but this one going to beat your ass back”
Boxing star Ryan Garcia has slammed Floyd Mayweather and Gervonta Davis as the build to a potential fight between Garcia and Davis continues.
Last Saturday night, Gervonta Davis took his pro boxing record to 26-0 with a hard-fought win over Isaac Cruz. In the immediate aftermath of his triumph, Ryan Garcia took to social media to call Davis out and claim that he wasn’t fighting elite-level opposition.
Floyd Mayweather, the long-time promoter of Gervonta Davis, hit back at Garcia in the post-fight press conference by insisting he got his followers from “YouTubers”. Upon hearing these remarks, Garcia called out both Mayweather and Davis with a few zingers that are bound to get their attention.

“Never offered me anything, typical mayweather games. I know you like to beat on “pretty girls” but this one going to beat your ass back”
Many believe Garcia is referring to some of the issues “Tank” has faced outside of the squared circle across the last few years.
These two lightweights are part of what is being dubbed the next golden generation for the sport of boxing. They may not have the same kind of star power or drawing ability that Mayweather once did, but they’re ready and willing to step up and take on the best of the best in the name of finding out who the true number one really is.
Whether or not that happens in 2022, though, remains to be seen, even if that’s what fans are clamouring to see.
What do you think of the blossoming rivalry between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis? Will we see this rivalry be settled inside the ring in 2022?
