Dan Hooker is hoping to face Beneil Dariush next. Hooker has been rehabbing the broken arm he sustained during his win over Jalin Turner from last July. He reinjured the arm in his training camp for Bobby Green which was supposed to take place last December.

UFC lightweight Beneil Dariush has admitted that he’s contemplating his future in MMA after his recent knockout loss. Earlier this month, Beneil Dariush suffered a pretty bad knockout loss at the hands of Arman Tsarukyan. The defeat came in the first round, and it served as the second loss of the year for Dariush following his defeat to Charles Oliveira in June. Now, at the age of 34, it appears as if Dariush is questioning his future in the sport of mixed martial arts.

In the main event of UFC Austin, a battle of top 10 lightweights went down as Arman Tsarukyan took on Beneil Dariush. Tsarukyan entered the fight on a two-fight win streak and was coming off a TKO win over Joaquim Silva in his most previous effort. It was also his second UFC main event after he dropped a controversial decision to Mateusz Gamrot last year. While Dariush seemed to be faring pretty well in the first few minutes, it didn’t take long for Oliveira to take over. In the end, ‘Do Bronx’ earned a vicious TKO win, bringing Dariush’s title hopes to an end for the time being.

Beneil Dariush was on the wrong end of a TKO finish at UFC 289, and he’s spoken out about it. Dariush shared the Octagon with former UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira on June 10. The bout served as the co-main event for UFC 289. This one ended in the opening frame as Oliveira had his opponent on wobbly legs after a barrage of strikes on the feet. Eventually, “do Bronx” dropped Dariush and finished him on the ground for the first-round TKO win.

Dariush had hoped to face Charles Oliveira at March’s pay-per-view event, but the fight wasn’t booked until UFC 288 in May. However, just under a month out, it was revealed Oliveira had suffered a minor injury and the fight would be pushed back to UFC 289 in June.
