Jamahal Hill believes Khalil Rountree is being overlooked ahead of his UFC 307 title fight against Alex Pereira. Rountree is set to fight Pereira for the light heavyweight title, in a fight that Hill is surprised by. Although Rountree is a sizeable underdog, Hill believes the challenger will give Pereira problems because he is a southpaw.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill issued a fiery response to Magomed Ankalaev’s recent social media jabs. Ankalaev will face Aleksandar Rakić at UFC 308 on October 26th in Abu Dhabi. He returns to the Octagon after being passed up for the next light heavyweight title shot in favor of Khalil Rountree, who will face Alex Pereira at UFC 307.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill has vented his frustration after Khalil Rountree was given the next title shot at 205lbs. UFC CEO Dana White announced on Friday that Pereira would be defending his light heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 307 in Utah against Rountree. The fight came as a huge surprise, especially due to the fact that Rountree was pulled from his last fight against Hill due to a failed drug test.

Unfortunately for the former champion, he suffered a brutal first-round knockout loss to Alex Pereira in his bid to reclaim the gold.

Hill is making a quick turnaround after losing to Alex Pereira by first-round knockout at UFC 300 for the light heavyweight title. Despite being knocked out, Hill will return on June 29 against Rountree, which the UFC announced would be the co-main event of UFC 303. Of course, the main event sees Conor McGregor taking on Michael Chandler.

Hill (12-2 MMA) was returning to action for the first since January 2023 in the headliner of last weekend’s UFC 300 event, where he was looking to reclaim the light heavyweight title, which he never lost, against reigning division champion Alex Pereira (10-2 MMA). ‘Sweet Dreams’ had of course captured the promotion’s vacant light heavyweight championship by defeating Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 but was later forced to vacate the belt after tearing his Achilles tendon.
