The UFC Vegas 104 weigh-ins have wrapped up, and there were three scale fails. Taking center stage in the main event of this Saturday’s card inside the UFC Apex will be two middleweights vying to show they can break into elite status. Marvin Vettori steps back inside the Octagon for the first time since 2023 when he takes on Roman Dolidze. Both men made use of the extra pound allowance for non-title fights, clocking in at 186 pounds each.

As he’s set to rematch Dolidze, who he beat by decision in 2023, he is confident he will get his hand raised and prove he’s still a legit contender at middleweight.

Roman Dolidze is hoping to get another rematch if he beats Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Vegas 104. Dolidze is set to headline the Fight Night card against Vettori on Saturday. Dolidze lost a close decision, which was a three-round fight and he enters the bout as a +134 underdog on FanDuel.

He did so following a grueling title encounter, with the end result being du Plessis securing a fourth-round submission triumph. Up to that point in the contest, it was really hard to tell who was getting the better of the fight – with a lot of fans believing ‘Stylebender’ should’ve been up on the scorecards.

Chris Curtis stepped up on short notice to face ‘All In’ in the main event of the card. Following Allen getting the decision win over Curtis, he believes he’s past Vettori and doesn’t see a need to fight him.

Vettori suffered an injury, and it’s something he called a “freak accident.” Vettori ended up being replaced by Chris Curtis. While the one-time UFC middleweight title challenger won’t be facing Brendan Allen on April 6, he says he wants the fight once he’s healthy enough to return to the Octagon.

With that loss Vettori is 3-3 in his last 6 fights in the Octagon. Vettori, 30, most recent unanimous decision victories have come against Roman Dolidze (12-2 MMA), Paulo Costa (14-2 MMA) and Kevin Holland (25-10 MMA).

Vettori entered the fight coming off a decision win over Roman Dolidze at UFC 286 back in March which got him back into the win column after he lost to Robert Whittaker. Cannonier, meanwhile, was coming off a main event decision win over Sean Strickland back in December.

Marvin Vettori has released a statement following his lopsided decision loss to Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 75. Vettori was headlining the card at the UFC Apex on Saturday night and entered the fight as a small betting favorite. Right out of the gates, Vettori landed a nice shot that rocked Cannonier and had him stumbling. Yet, that was one of the only bright spots for the Italian as Cannonier took over and had Vettori hurt on numerous occasions to cruise to a unanimous decision victory. The judges scored the fight, 49-45, 49-45, and 48-46, as Cannonier outstruck Vettori 257-154, with ‘The Killa Gorilla’ landing 241 significant strikes in the fight.
