Just Scrap Radio Ep. 156

We’re first joined by former Bellator featherweight champion AJ McKee (1:16). Next, UFC bantamweight Kyler Phillips (13:25) comes on. Closing out the program is boxer Anthony Taylor (23:22).

AJ McKee opens up the show to recap his first-round submission win over Clay Collard on the PFL vs. Bellator event. McKee then chats about the merger between the promotions and if he will be part of the PFL tournament. He then talks about the possibility of dropping back to featherweight and some people he wants to fight.

Kyler Phillips comes on to discuss his UFC 299 fight against 12th-ranked UFC bantamweight Pedro Munhoz. Kyler talks about getting a chance to face a ranked opponent and what he has taken away from Munhoz’s last couple of fights. He also talks about getting to fight on this card where his close friend and teammate Sean O’Malley defends his title. Kyler then talks about what a win over Munhoz does for him.

Anthony Taylor closes out the program to talk about his boxing match against Gabe Silva, the son of Anderson Silva, being off. Anthony talks about why it fell through and his original plan of beating Gabe to secure a boxing match with Anderson. He then chats about his future and whether or not he will go back to MMA.
