UFC CEO Dana White announces Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko will serve as opposing coaches on TUF 32
UFC CEO Dana White has announced that Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko will serve as opposing coaches at TUF 32.
A trilogy fight was anticipated between Grasso (16-3-1 MMA) and Shevchenko (23-4-1 MMA) with a timeline yet to be determined by the promotion.
The two originally met in March of 2023 at UFC 285. The result was a submission victory for the 30-year-old Grasso. Only 6 months later Grasso and Shevchenko would battle it out again at the UFC’s inaugural Noche event. The second fight would end in a draw.
Today, on International Women’s Day, Dana White took to ‘X’ with a video and the following caption:
“Happy International Women’s Day!”
“#TUF32 coaches will be @AlexaGrasso and @BulletValentina premiering June 4th on @ESPN! @UltimateFighter”
In the video, White shared the news:
“What’s up everybody. We have just confirmed the coaches for Season 32 of The Ultimate Fighter. and it will be UFC women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and former champion Valentina Shevchenko.”
White continued:
“Brasso became the 1st Mexican USC women’s champion after defeating Shevchenko and their last fight ended in a draw.”
“Before their last 2 fights Valentina had successfully defended the belt 7 times.”
“This show will premier on June 4th on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+.”
Concluding, White said:
“I don’t have to tell you these are the most badass women on the planet and this should be a very fun season!”
In 2023 the Ultimate Fighter 31 saw opposing coaches Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.
2024 will see Grasso and Shevchenko as opposing coaches on TUF 32 which will premiere on Tuesday, June 4th on ESPN.
