Alexander Emelianenko Files Appeal For Sexual Assault Conviction
Back in May, Alexander Emelianenko was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and fined approx. $1000 USD. The former MMA fighter was found guilty and convicted of sexual assault, kidnapping (via withholding a passport) and forcing the use “narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances”.
He was convicted of doing all this to Polina Stepanova, who was his substitute housekeeper. Now, The Simonovsky Court in Moscow will review his appeal and reconsider his conviction.
Emelianenko claims that everything that happened, including the charges mentioned before, was done consensually between the two adults.
We’ll keep you posted as the decision should be made in the next few days.
