A key heavyweight scrap between surging contender Francis Ngannou and former title challenger Alistair Overeem served as the co-main event of tonight’s UFC 218 fight card in Detroit.
Round one begins and Overeem leaps in with a left hook. Alistair moves in and decides to clinch up. He presses Francis against the cage. Ngannou switches the position. Francis with some foot stops. The referee eventually steps in and tells the fighters to break. Francis leaps in with a left. Overeem misses with a punch and Ngannou counters and absolutely floors him with a left hook. WOW!
