Since losing the UFC women’s bantamweight championship to Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 193, Ronda Rousey has been on an indefinite hiatus from the Octagon. The former champ initially planned on filming several movies in Hollywood, and then returning to the Octagon. With that being said, Rousey has maintained radio silence regarding when she plans to return to the Octagon, only hinting at the subject in an interview where she stated that she wants her belt back.

At UFC 200, Amanda Nunes will face the toughest test of her professional MMA career as she fights Miesha Tate for the UFC women’s bantamweight championship in the co-main event. When the fight was announced, many questioned whether or not Nunes deserved a title shot despite her 3-fight win streak. Holly Holm’s camp came out and accused Tate of turning down a rematch with Holm in order to take an easier fight, which lead to Tate’s camp refuting the claims.
