Bellator featherweight champion has revealed her goal to fight Amanda Nunes again. ‘The Lioness’ and the Brazilian clashed at UFC 232 in December 2018. In a battle of champions, Nunes won via first-round knockout. Not only did Cyborg lose her UFC featherweight crown, but it was also her first defeat in 13 years.

Julianna Pena is set to rematch UFC featherweight champion, Amanda Nunes, later this year. However, the bantamweight titleholder doesn’t really see it as a “champion vs. champion” clash. ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ first clashed with ‘The Lioness’ at UFC 269 in December 2021. Despite being a massive underdog, Pena preserved through a first-round knockout to win in the second round via submission. With the win, she captured the UFC bantamweight title and ended Nunes’s five-year run with the belt.

UFC 269 on December 11, 2021, featured Amanda Nunes vs Julianna Peña in the much anticipated Women’s bantamweight title fight. Nunes (21-5 MMA) vs Peña (12-4 MMA) was to end in a submission loss in the second round for Nunes. After surviving the opening round with ‘The Lioness’, Peña turned up the intensity in the second round. Dan Lambert founded American Top Team back in 2001. The vision was to build a world class training facility where MMA fighters could get all of their training under one roof. ATT’s main academy is in Coconut Creek, Florida but it has other affiliated academies throughout the United States.
