Tim Kennedy formally calls out Anderson Silva

By bjpenndotcom - March 10, 2016

While this isn’t the first time that Tim Kennedy has called out Anderson Silva, the stars may have aligned for a bout to finally be scheduled between the two men.

Tim Kennedy

After Tim Kennedy’s controversial loss to Yoel Romero, he took an indefinitely hiatus from competition. Now, a year and a half following the loss to Romero, Kennedy has stated that he is returning to the Octagon and targeting PED users and TRT abusers.

When Kennedy officially made the announcement about his return several months ago, he listed Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort as two men he would like to fight. Now, with Anderson Silva revealing that he wouldn’t fight at UFC 198 in his hometown of Curitiba Brazil because of a lack of opponents, Tim Kennedy has formally called out ‘The Spider’.

Kennedy didn’t specify a date for the bout, however UFC 198 on May 14th, or UFC 200 on July 9th are likely the two possible events.
