Anthony Pettis is looking for title shots

By Chris Taylor - August 28, 2016

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis returned to the win column at last night’s UFC on FOX 21 event in Vancouver, this after he submitted Charles Oliveira in the third-round of their co-main event bout.

The fight with Oliveira served as Pettis’ featherweight debut and the submission victory snapped Anthony’s three-fight losing skid.

Following his much needed win, “Showtime” spoke to reporters at the post-fight news conference where he detailed his upcoming plans:

“I went through a lot of stuff. I have to thank my family, my girlfriend. Everyone around me that just kept me focused and just made me keep pushing. We pushed through, we got a new division, a new goal… Two division champ, and that’s what I’ve set out to do.”

He continued:

“I am looking for title shots. I’m trying to get down to a title shot. Whatever puts me in that position, we will figure that out. I’ll sit down with my team, figure out the performance and go from there.”
