A highly anticipated heavyweight fight between former UFC champion Frank Mir and former PRIDE champion Fedor Emelianenko served as the headliner of tonight’s Bellator 198 event.

The winner of tonight’s main event between Mir and Emelianenko will inch closer to winning Bellator’s Heavyweight Grand Prix, meeting Chael Sonnen in the tournaments next round.

Round one begins and Frank Mir lands an early combination that appears to rock Fedor. Mir comes forward but Fedor catches him with a judo toss and slams him to the floor. Mir gets back up to his feet and Fedor greets him with knees in the clinch. The fighters break and both men are quick to fire off punches. Fedor with a nice combination. Mir is hurt.
