In March of 2014 a young life was lost inside the kickboxing ring, Rest In Peace Dennis Munson. Since Dennis’ death a lot of questions and concerns have been brought to life that Dennis should not have died that night had the right steps been taken for the fighters safety. One person with past ties to the gym at the center of the story is Pat Barry. We will talk with Pat in detail about the video of the fight and how negligence by the ring side doctor, the ref, all the way down to the corner of the young man could have prevented the tragedy. Chad Macias of Institute For Human Kinetics. Chad is One of the only people in the world performing sport specific DNA testing and blood lactate profiling he is showing what the future of building super athletes looks like today. Chad is also an Instructor of Exercise Science at University of San Diego, where he stays current with the ever evolving field of human performance while pursuing a post-gradute research degree in Molecular Physiology. Chad works with top MMA Athletes like Bellator’s AJ Matthews, UFC’s Kelvin Gastelum & Phil Davis. We will talk with Chad about PED use in the sport and athletes using, the risks, and of course what he feels should be the punishment if caught. Oh and make sure to tune in, Chad might have some damning evidence that doesn’t look good…
Our last guest might only be 3-0 inside her professional career, but she has already made waves inside the world of Women’s MMA. Ashlee Evans-Smith is joining us and we will talk with her about her early days wrestling and then making the transition to fighting. Ashlee made a name for herself inside the CFA 8 women tournament where Ashlee beat Transgender fighter Fallon Fox by TKO. Ashlee is now set to make her UFC debut in the same year that she made her WSOF debut. We will talk to Ashlee about getting the call and what this chance means to her.
