Kicking off the show this week is a fighter who is looking to pick up his third win in a row and continue to improve his stock as one of the best young prospects in the game. Dhiego Lima is entering his XFC debut riding a 2 fight win streak and coming off an entertaining TKO win in his last fight. Dhiego is the younger brother of Bellator’s Douglas Lima, but he isn’t trying to be remembered by that, at only 23 Dhiego is waiting for his call from the UFC. We will talk to Dhiego about his last few fights, his fight coming up inside the XFC, being a free agent, and his desire to fight in the big show and how he matches up with the men already there. Our second guest is one that our listeners should be familiar with, as he was our inside man for season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter. Stephen “Bigfish” Bass is back and it’s been a long time coming. Stephen is ready to get back in the cage as he is set to face Farkhad Sharipov at XFC 25. Stephen has been training with the crew over at Champion Training Center and we will talk to him about how the layoff since December of 2011 has helped him and how he knew it was time to get back in the cage. We will discuss Stephen’s upcoming fight, how the contract came about, and of course what his goals are and if we will see him back full time in the cage. Follow Stephen on twitter @BassTheSavage
This year was the first year of Bellator testing the waters with their brand and reality TV combining to make “Fight Master.” Everyone waited to see who would be a part of the show, how the show would actually look when the final product was finished, and if it could breathe new life into the MMA reality world. AJ will break down this upcoming weeks episode and all the things that you didn’t see on TV. With only two episodes left you won’t want to miss AJ breaking things down and giving his final thoughts on the match ups and the final match up. AJ brings it each and every week and while you wait for Sunday to get here go follow AJ on Twitter @AJ_MMA if you aren’t already.
With the next episode of The Ultimate Fighter getting ready to debut it would only make sense that we start introducing you to some of the fighters that you will see on this season. Our first guest this season is fighting out of Alliance MMA, Danny Martinez will be closing out the show this week. Danny has been announced as one of the men trying to earn his spot in the house and we have plenty to talk about with him about the show and the early stages. We will talk to Danny about making the decision to try out for the show, how the application process went for him, and then making the trip out to Vegas. We will discuss with Danny about being locked in the Hotel, getting ready to fight, and all things leading up to that point. We will also discuss with Danny the kids he works with at the gym, and everything he has going on outside the cage. Follow Danny on twitter @DannyMMA125
