Gegard Mousasi, Paul Daley, James Gallagher, scheduled for fights at Bellator London

By Tom Taylor - March 29, 2019

On June 22, Bellator MMA will return to the United Kingdom with the aptly titled Bellator London card. The promotion has already begun stacking this event, adding a trio of big names to the bill in Gegard Mousasi, Paul Daley and James Gallagher (via MMA Junkie).

Gegard-Mousasi

Gegard Mousasi will defend his Bellator middleweight title on the card, taking on the streaking Rafael Lovato Jr. This fight was originally expected to occur in June, but was unfortunately delayed when Mousasi sustained an injury.

Mousasi last fought in December, when he defended his middleweight title against reigning welterweight champ Rory MacDonald, bludgeoning the Canadian en route to an emphatic stoppage win. In his next most recent fight, he smashed Rafael Carvalho to win the Bellator middleweight belt. He’s an impressive 45-6-2 overall.

Rafael Lovato Jr. is currently a perfect 9-0 in sum. He last fought at Bellator 205 when he defeated John Salter via submission, earning himself a title shot in the process.

Per MMA Junkie’s report, British knockout artist Paul Daley and Irish prospect James Gallagher are expected to join Gegard Mousasi and Rafael Lovato Jr. on this card, though they do not have opponents yet.

Daley will be on a mission to bounce back from a controversial decision defeat to Michael “Venom” Page, while Gallagher will look to be build on the momentum of a submission defeat of Steven Graham.
