Report: Joe Warren Tests Positive For Marijuana Following Bellator 143

By BJPENN.COM News - October 9, 2015

It looks like former Bellator bantamweight and featherweight champion Joe Warren tested positive for marijuana following his win over LC Davis at Bellator 143. That’s according to a report from themmareport.com.

The report says that Warren failed his post fight drug test, barely going over the allowed marijuana metabolite limit. In fact his level was 53 ng/ml and the legal limit in the state of Texas, where the event took place, is 50 ng/ml. So he was only over by 3 ng/ml. It might be worth noting that WADA’s limit for marijuana is 150 ng/ml.

According to the Texas Combative Sports Program, the penalty for a failed drug test due to marijuana is a 90 day suspension.

Bellator and the Texas Combative Sports Program have yet to release an official statement, but we’ll keep you updated.
