SIGNED! Melvin Guillard Signs Multi-Year Contract With Bellator
UFC, WSOF and now Bellator. It seems as though lightweight fighter Melvin Guillard is still trying to find the right fit for him.
It was announced today, via press release, that the ‘Young Assassin’ has signed a multi-fight, multi-year contract with Bellator MMA. Guillard was most recently with the World Series of Fighting promotion, but after a tumultuous relationship and missing weight on multiple occasions he was cut from the roster. Time will tell if Guillard can make this new business relationship work.
His opponent and debut date has yet to be announced.
Scott Coker, Bellator president, had this to say in the press release.
“We are excited to have Melvin coming onboard. With competitors the likes of Lightweight Champion Will Brooks, Michael Chandler, Marcin Held, Derek Anderson, Saad Awad, Dave Jansen and Patricky Pitbull on the roster already, the matchup possibilities for an exciting fighter like him are endless.”
