“Stitch” takes jab at Dana White after getting picked up by Bellator

By BJPENN.COM News - September 14, 2015

Jacob “Stitch” Duran couldn’t help but take one last jab at his former boss before making his way to the punch-clock of their competitor.

Bellator MMA will be holding a historic event on Friday evening when “Dynamite” takes place in San Jose, California. Bellator President Scott Coker is running a one-night four-man light heavyweight tournament that night and will be looking for the best cutman in the business to keep the fighters in top shape.

If this was a couple months ago, Coker would not be able to bring “Stitch” Duran on board as it was an “unspoken” rule in the cutman community that if you work for the UFC, you are not allowed to show up at Bellator or WSOF. While Dana White never announced or enforced the rule, “Stitch” felt it had existed and spoke out against the Reebok deal which restricted the cutmen from making money. UFC immediately cut “Stitch”, but he found a home right away with WSOF.

Now, Duran has revealed that he will be working for Bellator and GLORY at the upcoming “DYNAMITE” event this weekend!

“Stitch” is likely referring to the fact that White didn’t even call him personally to let him know he was being released by the company.
