YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul claims that his boxing match on Triller this past Saturday with Ben Askren sold 1.3 million pay-per-views. Paul and Askren met in the main event of the Triller Fight Club PPV on Saturday night in what was one of the most highly-anticipated fights of the year in all of the combat sports. Even if you aren’t a fan of Paul or Askren, you were probably watching the fight just to see someone get knocked out. It seemed like there was a massive interest in the fight leading up to it and now we know that it did really well at the box office, according to Paul.

Even though Paul doesn’t get a ton of respect from the combat sports community, everyone knows that he is a huge name and a big draw. At this point, Paul is one of the biggest stars in combat sports just three fights into his boxing career. If you are lucky enough to get booked to fight against Paul, then you stand to make a lot of money.

Fortunately for fight fans, the Paul vs. Askren fight didn’t last very long, so they were able to watch Whittaker put on a masterclass against Gastelum right afterward. Of course, since both main events were happening at the same time, Whittaker was asked by the media about the fight. We knew they were both about to make some serious coin for the fight, and now we have the disclosed salaries. And that’s just the guaranteed portion, as they will both likely be in line for pay-per-view bonus points depending on how well the show does.
