Lightweight contender Beneil Dariush is hoping that the UFC matchmakers can match him up with fellow submission ace Charles Oliveira again. Dariush was supposed to fight Oliveira at the UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana event in early October, but Oliveira had to be removed from the fight and Dariush ended up not fighting either. With both men still currently not booked for a fight and with both looking to get back into the Octagon in the next few months, this still seems like a matchup the UFC could re-book. And if you ask Dariush, that’s exactly what he wants.

Beneil Dariush put his UFC 248 performance bonus to good use. At UFC 248, Dariush scored an insane KO over Drakkar Klose in what was a wild fight. The knockout got him another performance of the night bonus, which marked the third straight fight he has received a $50k bonus. So, the 31-year-old used the extra earnings to fund an orphanage in Haiti.

Charles Oliveira will no longer fight Beneil Dariush at UFC Fight Night on October 3. The surging contender, Oliveira, has amassed a seven-fight win streak with notable wins over Jim Miller, Clay Guida and Kevin Lee. He was expected to fight Dariush on Yas Island next month, but his opponent confirmed that the grappling ace is now out of the race.

Scott Holtzman is looking to be the latest fighter to knock out Beneil Dariush. On the main card of UFC Vegas 6, Holtzman is getting the chance to fight a ranked opponent in Beneil Dariush. It is an interesting matchup and “Hot Sauce” believes it is the perfect next step after beating Jim Miller last time out.

Beneil Dariush was looking to be fighting a ranked opponent but unfortunately did not get his wish. Dariush, who is currently ranked 14th at lightweight, is riding a four-fight winning streak and coming off a spectacular KO win over Drakkar Klose at UFC 248. It was a phenomenal finish. Looking back at it, the timing of that fight couldn’t have been any more perfect.

Lightweight fighter Drakkar Klose revealed on Instagram he will no longer be fighting at UFC Sacramento. UFC Sacramento will take place this Saturday, July 13, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. One the fight card, Drakkar Klose was scheduled to fight Beneil Dariush.
