BOXING BEAT: Froch Says Broner Can’t Back Up The Talk

Are you a fan of boxer Adrien Broner? Because fellow boxer Carl Froch is definitely not. Broner fights this Saturday in Cincinnati, OH, against Khabib Allakhverdiev. The two will be fighting for the vacant WBA super-lightweight title.

Ahead of the fight, fellow boxer Carl Froch gave his opinion of the Broner, telling skysports.com that he thinks he’s a clown and is just trying to be a Floyd Mayweather wannabe. He also said that he talks a big game but isn’t able to back all of it up.

“I think he’s [Broner] a clown. He gives it large and tries to be like Floyd Mayweather but he says way too much and can’t back it up in the ring.”

“He gets hit in the face far too often and ultimately thinks he’s better than he is. I am not a fan. If you are going to be cheeky or lairy and come to the ring dancing and singing, you’ve got to win every single fight. And not just win, but win impressively.”
