Brendan Allen is hoping to avenge another one of his losses should he beat Chris Curtis at UFC Vegas 90. Allen is set to headline UFC Vegas 90 on Saturday when he takes on Curtis, who took the fight on short notice, this after Marvin Vettori was forced to withdraw from the bout due to an injury. Although Allen is fighting down in the rankings, it’s a chance for him to avenge a loss as he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Curtis back in 2021.

Brendan Allen is confident he’d beat UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis with ease. Allen is set to headline UFC Vegas 90 on Saturday in a rematch against Chris Curtis. The two fought back in 2021 and it was Curtis who won by second-round knockout.

Marvin Vettori has a message for Brendan Allen after being forced off their planned UFC Vegas 90 main event. Vettori suffered an injury, and it’s something he called a “freak accident.” Vettori ended up being replaced by Chris Curtis. While the one-time UFC middleweight title challenger won’t be facing Brendan Allen on April 6, he says he wants the fight once he’s healthy enough to return to the Octagon.

Marvin Vettori will no longer be fighting Brendan Allen. Vettori and Allen were set to headline UFC Vegas 90 on April 6 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. However, less than a month out from the fight, it was revealed the Italian is out of the bout. The news was first reported by David Van Auken.

Brendan Allen believes he has a chance to secure a UFC Middleweight Championship opportunity after his next fight. Allen is scheduled to collide with Marvin Vettori at a UFC Fight Night event on April 6. Allen is riding a six-fight winning streak and he is hoping to make a strong case for a shot at the 185-pound gold held by Dricus Du Plessis. Vettori will be fighting to return to the middleweight title conversation. Vettori has had losses to Israel Adesanya, Robert Whittaker, and Jared Cannonier. While those are three outstanding 185-pounders, Vettori wants to show that he can win those type of fights.

Marvin Vettori is set to take on streaking UFC middleweight contender Brendan Allen this coming April. ‘The Italian Dream’ (19-7 MMA) last fought and lost to Jared Cannonier (17-6 MMA) by unanimous decision in June of 2023. With that loss Vettori is 3-3 in his last 6 fights in the Octagon. Vettori, 30, most recent unanimous decision victories have come against Roman Dolidze (12-2 MMA), Paulo Costa (14-2 MMA) and Kevin Holland (25-10 MMA).

While some might not be aware, it’s a welterweight clash between teammates. In the main event of UFC Vegas 82, Brendan Allen took on Paul Craig in a battle between top-15 middleweights. Allen entered the fight riding a five-fight win streak and was coming off a submission win over Bruno Silva back in June.

Brendan Allen believes he is a better fighter than reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland despite losing to the controversial star three years ago. Back in November 2020, Allen and Strickland shared the Octagon in a 195-pound catchweight bout. Allen was riding a seven-fight winning streak going into the bout, but he had to get back on the horse after being stopped by Strickland via second-round TKO. Since that fight, Allen has gone 8-1, including a recent submission victory over Paul Craig.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 82 event, a 14-bout fight card headlined by Brendan Allen vs. Paul Craig. The highly anticipated middleweight main event proved to be a coming out party for Brendan Allen. ‘All In’ put together the best performance of his career, dominating his Scottish opponent in all areas of the fight before eventually earning a rear-naked choke finish in round three. The win marked Allen’s sixth in a row and has him primed for a big fight in his next Octagon appearance.

In his most recent effort this past June, ‘All In’ scored a rear-naked choke finish over Bruno Silva.

Heading into the fight, Allen is a sizeable -440 favorite while the former light heavyweight is a +310 underdog on FanDuel. Ahead of the fight, BJPENN.com reached out to several pro fighters to make their picks for the scrap. The pros are actually split on this one as they believe Craig can get ahold of a submission sometime in the fight.

UFC middleweight Brendan Allen has hinted at Khamzat Chimaev vs Jared Cannonier being booked in the near future. Following his win over Marvin Vettori earlier this month, Jared Cannonier made it clear that he still wants to pursue the UFC middleweight championship. However, there wasn’t a clear route back to the top for him, even with the Vettori win.

Jack Hermansson will no longer be headlining the June 3 UFC fight card. According to MMA Mania’s Alex Behunin, Hermansson has suffered an injury and was forced to pull out of his main event scrap against Brendan Allen. At this time, it’s uncertain if the fight will be rebooked or if the UFC will be searching for a new opponent to face Allen on about five weeks’ notice.
