Brock Lesnar issues brief statement on potential anti-doping violation
Friday evening, it was revealed that the US Anti-Doping agency had informed the UFC of a “potential anti-doping violation” for Brock Lesnar stemming from a June drug test.
Lesnar’s opponent for UFC 200, Mark Hunt, was quick to release a statement on the matter, demanding the UFC give him 50% of Lesnar’s massive purse for the event, or release him from his contract.
Lesnar released a brief statement on the situation through the Associated Press, saying:
“We will get to the bottom of this,”
The UFC drew much criticism when they announced Lesnar would be fighting at UFC 200 due to the fact that the UFC had waived the transitionary 4 month period where a fighter is subject to USADA testing.
