VIDEO | Brock Lesnar gets dominated by Goldberg in one minute at WWE Survivor Series
Yeah, we know, pro wrestling isn’t real. But Brock Lesnar is a former UFC heavyweight champion, and when he gets dominated in just over a minute by a 49 year old, we’re going to talk about it – whether it’s real or not.
That’s precisely what happened on Sunday night, when Lesnar stepped into the WWE ring with Bill Goldberg. Moments into the match, Goldberg knocked the former UFC champ to the mat. As a bewildered Lesnar returned to his feet, Goldberg speared him back down onto the canvas. Then came a second spear, and a Jackhammer for the win. It was a downright domination, and it all went down in less time than it takes to warm up a Hot Pocket.
Again, we know this stuff is scripted, but Brock Lesnar’s chapter in the MMA history book is a long one, so we’re covering his endeavours outside the cage in the same way we’d cover those of Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, Jon Jones, or Georges St-Pierre.
When we last saw Lesnar in the unscripted world of mixed martial arts, he returned from a long hiatus from the sport to dominate Mark Hunt on the main card of UFC 200. Regrettably, it was later revealed that the former heavyweight champ had failed both out-of-competition and in-competition drug tests, testing positive for the estrogen blocker clomiphene. Lesnar was handed a temporary suspension as a result of this development, though his legal team is striving to blame his failed tests on his foot cream or eye medication, and he has no plans to return to the mixed martial arts arena, so really, it doesn’t matter all that much.
