John Gotti III added to CES 56 in Connecticut
Grandson of the legendary mobster bearing the same name, John Gotti III (3-0) will return to action late next month for CES MMA, the promotion announced Wednesday afternoon.
The undefeated welterweight prospect will take to the Connecticut Convention Center on May 31 to take on DeVon Mosley (3-2) at CES 56. The event’s main card will air live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
After a 5-1 stint on the amateur MMA scene, Gotti turned professional in late 2017. After running through Johnny Adams in his pro debut at CES 46, Gotti finished his next opponent, Eddie Haws, in 32 seconds at CES NY 1.
In his last outing, Gotti starched Josh Zuckerman in just 28 seconds — topping the quickest finish of his career.
His opponent, Virginia’s Mosley hasn’t competed since mid-2014. The 34-year-old welterweight nicknamed “The Silverback” will look to ride Gotti’s wave to notoriety by pulling off the upset.
