Conor McGregor gets one last crack in on Chad Mendes who was just given a two-year suspension
Conor McGregor won the UFC interim featherweight championship title when he defeated Chad Mendes at UFC 189.
“The Notorious” overcame a tough test where Mendes was able to get McGregor to the ground and do some damage with some ground and pound. However, McGregor found his range and TKO’d Mendes in the second round with his fluid and accurate striking.
On Wednesday, USADA issued a two-year suspension for Mendes after testing positive for GHRP-17, which is a growth-hormone releasing peptide.
Having a history with Mendes, McGregor commented on the situation in typical “Notorious” fashion. Conor told The Mac Life, “I wonder was he on that stuff when we fought. One thing I know for sure tho, you can’t put steroids on your chin.”
