Breaking ! Chael Sonnen vs. Tito Ortiz set for January 21

A light heavyweight bout between former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz and former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen will take place under the Bellator banner on January 21 live from The Forum in Los Angeles.

Bellator president Scott Coker posted the following on Twitter following the bouts announcement on SportsCenter.

Chael Sonnen recently signed with Bellator and has not competed inside the cage since suffering a TKO loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 167.

Meanwhile, Tito Ortiz most recently competed at Bellator 142 where he suffered a submission loss to Liam McGeary in his bid for the promotions 205-pound strap.
