In the latest episode of his “Beyond the Fight” series, UFC veteran and current Bellator star Chael Sonnen shared his belief that former UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre should not be counted out in his UFC 217 showdown with Michael Bisping. “People think Bisping is going to kill him,” Sonnen said of widespread perceptions that St-Pierre will lose this fight. “Luke Rockhold, one of the best middleweights of all time, former champion, Luke Rockhold’s opinion matters. He says it’s not even a close fight, that Michael Bisping runs him over.”

The prestigious Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) tournament took place over the weekend at the Espoo Metro Arena in Espoo, Finland. Stars from the grappling and brazilian jiu-jitsu world including Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida and Rubens Charles along with a few names from mixed martial arts competed in the tournament. Gabi Garcia, Chael Sonnen, and Jake Shields competed in the tournament along with Dillon Danis, who is signed with Bellator but has yet to make his pro MMA debut.

Apparently, he and the Irish champ nearly came to blows a few years back. His disclosed purse clocked in at $30 million, while his pay is likely to spike north of $100 million once pay-per-view sales are factored in. Given the scale of this payday, there has been widespread speculation that McGregor will never return to the less-lucrative world of MMA. Apparently, however, this is not the case.
